Card of the Week: Two of Swords

Two of Swords from the Universal Waite Tarot Deck.

The Two of Swords from the Universal Waite Tarot Deck was the card I drew for this week.

This card depicts a woman who has tied a blindfold over her eyes so that she can avoid looking at anyone. She is holding a sword in each hand as if ready to strike anyone who tries to approach her. Her arms are crossed over her chest so the swords block the heart and lungs.

The Two of Swords often symbolizes someone who is seeking balance by avoiding communication. They may not want to communicate out of fear of conflict. Emotions are being blocked.

It could be that you are faced with a choice, and need time to be alone, away from the influence of others, in order to make a decision. This decision must come from within you, and not necessarily be an emotional choice. Other’s influence may not be in your best interest right now. Be patient and use your intuition, the answer will come to you.

Card of the Week: Knight of Swords

Knight of Swords from the Universal Waite Tarot Deck.

Knight of Swords, from the Universal Waite Tarot Deck, appeared this week.

This card depicts a knight on his horse charging into the storm wielding his sword. He is brave, strong, skillful, and eager to overcome all difficulties. But, because he recognizes no limits, he tends to be fanatical. He has difficulty with long, steady plodding because he has a restless mind, and expects his enemies to fall under his charge.

Do things seem to not be moving fast enough for you? You may be courageous, and feel ready to move forward quickly, but you may want to take time to reflect upon the situation. Should you push ahead, or is being too headstrong and aggressive not the right approach? What are your motives?

People may admire your drive and ambition, but also be aware of the situation and your skills. Courage and confidence is good, but look before you leap so you are prepared for what is ahead.

Card of the Week: Following Your Bliss

Following Your Bliss from Gateway Oracle Cards.

The lovely card that I drew for this week is Following Your Bliss, from Gateway Oracle Cards.

“My soul sings with joy!” A woman with a pink rose in her red flowing hair is dancing and playing her flute. She is connected to her soul and sharing her joy.

What is it that makes your soul sing with joy? The Universe is saying that the time is now to do what makes you happy.

What brings bliss to your soul? Do it. If not now then when? If you keep putting it off you may never do it or you may have regrets for not trying.  If you can’t do it all at once, just start.

This week, take steps to bring genuine happiness to your soul and follow your bliss.
